Land at Tribhuvan at 11pm after thirty hours in the air, and your car is at the terminal instead of a taxi queue. One flat fee at all three airports, whatever you booked and whatever time you land.
The same fee at all three airports
A 3am landing costs what a 3pm one does
The same fee for any car in the fleet
Everywhere else in the four hubs
Outside arrivals there is a taxi queue, a fare to argue about in a currency you landed with an hour ago, and a rental counter that opens tomorrow morning. Tomorrow morning is when you wanted to be driving.
An airport transfer puts your car at the terminal instead. The licence check and the paperwork are done digitally before you fly, so nothing happens at a desk. You get in and drive — Thamel tonight, Nagarkot at dawn if the sky is clear.
Tell us the flight and when it touches down, and the car is booked for that rather than for a slot you guessed at.
The Swift for the Valley, the Prado for what comes after. The transfer fee is the same whichever one you booked.
Licence verified digitally before you fly, no deposit, and one bill settled at pick-up.
Kathmandu flies its international and domestic services from separate terminals. Tell us which one you walk out of.
The transfer is charged per airport run, on top of the daily car rate. Meeting you at arrivals is one run; leaving the car at departures is another. Nothing else about the booking changes.
The same fee and the same booking at each of them. What changes is the city you drive into afterwards.
Kathmandu
KTMNepal's front door, on the eastern edge of the Ring Road. International and domestic services leave from separate terminals, so tell us which one you walk out of. Thamel is a short drive on a quiet night, and Nagarkot's sunrise ridge is 32 km east if the second morning looks clear.
Pokhara
PKRTwenty-five minutes in the air from Kathmandu, and a short drive from Lakeside once you are down. Sarangkot is 11 km up the hill for the dawn view over the Annapurnas. North to Jomsom is the other kind of trip: take a 4x4 and give it two days.
Chitwan
BHRDomestic flights only, and a ten-minute hop from Kathmandu. Chitwan is the easiest driving in Nepal — flat, wide and forgiving — and Sauraha, on the edge of the national park, is 20 km from the terminal.
Four steps, one message — and nothing to sign at the terminal.
Choose any car in the fleet for your dates. An airport transfer is added to that booking, not made as a separate one.
Airline, flight number and the time it lands, plus whether you come out of the international or the domestic terminal. Send it when you book, or as soon as you have it.
In writing, before you fly: where to walk to, and the number to call once you are through. The transfer sits on the same bill as the car.
Fog in December, a connection missed in Delhi — tell us the new landing time as soon as you have it and we'll move the transfer to match it.
Departures run the same way, backwards. You drive to the airport on the last morning, hand the car over at the terminal, and go straight to check-in — no detour to an office, and no last errand before a flight.
No convoy and no second car following you out. You drive to the airport, and the hand-over happens there.
Kathmandu in, Pokhara out, Bharatpur somewhere in the middle. Ending the rental in a hub you did not start in carries no repositioning charge.
A 4am flight you would rather not drive to? Leave the car where it was delivered instead — collection anywhere in the four hubs is free.
The car goes back full, or we refuel it and charge you the pump price plus nothing. There is no refuelling fee either way.
“A Scorpio was waiting at the airport curb at 11pm, seats already adjusted. I haven't queued at a rental desk since.”
The questions people ask before they book a car to meet a flight.
More questions answeredA flat NPR 1,500, added to the daily rate for whichever car you booked. It is the same number at Tribhuvan, Pokhara International and Bharatpur, the same for a Swift and a Prado, and the same at three in the morning as at three in the afternoon.
Because it costs us something a hotel gate does not: a run out to a terminal is a journey of its own, and the airport charges for a car that comes through its gate. Door-to-door delivery across Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan and Lumbini absorbs what it costs and stays free and included. The airport is the single exception, and it is a fixed number rather than something worked out afterwards.
Tell us the new landing time as soon as you have it, by call or by message, and we'll move the transfer to match it. The sooner it reaches us the easier it is to move.
We confirm the meeting point in writing when we confirm the booking, because it depends on the airport and on which terminal you land at. Send us the flight and the terminal and you will have it before you fly.
Nothing you have not already sent. Visitors need their national licence plus an International Driving Permit; Nepali licence holders bring the original. We verify everything digitally beforehand, so there is no paperwork at pick-up.
Yes. Add a professional local driver to the booking for the first day and take the wheel yourself in the morning, once you have slept and seen the traffic in daylight. The driver is charged per day on top of the car rate.
How renting with a driver worksSwift to Prado, with the daily rate on every card — the transfer fee is the same behind all of them.
A professional local driver for the first night, the hill legs, or the whole trip — added per day to the car rate.
Weekly and monthly bookings for teams and projects whose visitors keep landing at Tribhuvan.
Book any car for your dates, tell us the flight and the terminal, and it's at the airport when you walk out. No deposit, and free cancellation up to two hours before delivery.
